Pediatric Autism Communication Therapy (PACT)

Developed at the University of Manchester, Pediatric Autism Communication Therapy (PACT) is an integrative approach that combines language therapy, behavioral methods, and parental support.

Research shows that PACT helps autistic children communicate more effectively and interact with others—skills that are essential for how they connect with others, manage their feelings, and learn.

For parents of children aged 2-10 years:

If your child:

  • Has an autism diagnosis (ASD)
  • Speaks very little or not at all
  • Finds it hard to understand others’ gestures, facial expressions, or looks
  • Struggles to express their needs
  •

If you’re finding it difficult to:

  • Understand your child both verbally and emotionally
  • Communicate with them
  • Support them in interacting with others

Benefits

  • Communicate and connect more easily with your child
  • Help your child share attention and interests
  • Build a stronger, more positive relationship
  • Understand your child’s needs and respond with confidence
