Understand the behaviors and needs of the child, from an early age.
The Promoting First Relationships® (PFR) program aims to help parents increase their self-confidence, enhance their reflective capacity and strengthen their attachment to their child.
It is based on the observation that the quality of the relationship maintained by young children with their parents – or the closest adults – has a direct influence on their socio-emotional, cognitive and language development.
How PFR can help you
With the PFR program, we offer to support parents of young children (0 to 5 years old) in order to help them understand their children’s behavior and needs, and identify their own social and emotional needs.

Promoting First Relationships, in practice
The PFR program extends over a period of 10 to 12 weeks. During the program, different techniques are used. First, your practitioner films you during your interactions with your child and then, using these films, she helps you explore and reflect on the observed behaviors and what they reveal in terms of feelings and emotions, including in times of difficulty. Finally, the program offers weekly handouts, which are discussed with the parent.
